Step2 Naturally Playful Lookout Treehouse

  • “Shingled” roof provides shaded play
  • Sturdy tree house for young children
  • Large 19" high platform
  • Shingled roof for shaded play
  • Periscope pivots 180 degrees
  • Adult assembly required

I purchased this for my 14 month old son. He is a climber and I wanted to get him something safe to play on inside the house. The first day I set it up he learned how to slide on his own and he always claps his hands in excitement when he reaches the floor. This was so simple to put together. I had the majority of it assembled within five minutes. The periscope does take a little time to put together but it is really easy to do. I am very impressed with the quality and how everything locks into place. You could easily take the slide off, back the unit against a wall and use it as a fort. One of my concerns was the roof being too low but for now my son fits under it just fine. I don't think it would be hard to find a way to raise the roof when he gets too tall for it in the future as I believe he will be using this toy for years to come. I know some reviewers said they don't like the steep steps. My son has no trouble at all climbing them, plus it is a great space-saving design! You don't have steps protruding out as far as the slide like some similar toys. The slide itself is also nice and tall, so when he slides it isn't like his feet immediately hit the ground. The other thing I really like is that the platform is nice and roomy. He has plenty of room to move around and when he gets a little older will be great for make-believe play. The unit is also nice and sturdy, even with my rough young one playing on it. I do not have to worry about it tipping over. Some of the other similar items I looked at were rather wobbly. The colors of the unit work well for indoor use. If you have an active climber like my son, I highly recommend the Step2 Treehouse! This is one item that has greatly exceeded my expectations (thus why this is my longest review yet)!

Put it together in about 30 minutes and the little guy loves it. On a side note, so does the dog. It's durable enough to survive them both.

This is a really cute little sliding board with a little lookout. He loves it and we do too. I'm not sure how long he'll be able to use it because he's only 16 months old and his head touches the ceiling already. But he is a pretty tall toddler for his age. But he just ducks down a very little bit and slides down his slide and then tries to come up the slide.

Not sure why my review of this product can't be posted. But here we go again: This slide is very well made, my 2 year old loves it. Only problem was the scope and screws for the roof were missing. The box that it came in was in bad shape and I'm sure during delivery that's why the scope and screws were lost. But I emailed the company of Step 2 and they were fast to send me replacement parts. Now just waiting but right now my toddler loves this slide.

This is Very Well Made, and that's only half of it...!!! It doesn't take up much room and the children So, So, Luv it!! I bought this for my Grandson ( 2 years old) for his 1st Birthday and you can buy this for a 18month old and up! It is now being used by my Granddaughter and it still Looks Brand New & Is so Very Entertaining for children. I have to admit I was surprised! Not hard to put together and it LAST'S...!!! Great Company To Buy From, you know it is the Best and will Last a Long time through many children. Jewell,,,, TX

Believe it or not I ordered this accidently but kept it. It became my daughter's birthday present. In the summer I put it in our garden and the kids love it. I was afraid that it would be too small but it's a good size even for a 5 year old. The first day I put it up my kids and the neighbor kids were all playing on it from ages 2 to 8 and it didn't ever feel too young. I was nervous at first about 5 kids on it at the same time but it was stable and safe and they had a really good time. It's very easy to set up and take down and it's light but strong. My kids have pretended it's a tree house to a pirate ship to a time machine. It's small enough to be used in a large room during colder weather. I am very glad I accidently ordered this because it's helped make our small backyard into a garden that the kids love playing in.

I've had this since my twin babies turned 1 and they are almost 2 now, and they still play on it from time to time. The slide is not very high and short, but with right pants on, they can slide down quite fast and still land safely. The most important thing for me is that it is easy to assemble and probably dis-assemble as well. It's not taking too much space (as its kind), and it's sitting at my living room corner and making little space behind the ladder will allow them to start playing. it might slide around, but I just let it because it would allow me to move it and vacuum the area, but placing some silicon will make it stable enough.

The treehouse was easy to assemble, only required a phillipshead screwdriver. The treehouse is quite light so be cautious if windy weather is in the forecast. My grandson loves it and at 14 months old has mastered climbing the ladder and knows to set down before going down the slide. We stay close by and assist him going down the slide. It states on the slide for toddlers from 1 1/2 to 5 years of age. Personally by 5 I think the child will have out grown this treehouse/slide. We have had the treehouse for just a few weeks and he has already spent hours climbing and sliding.

Great article. Left it indide and my kids plays all the time. Great for over 18 mo and older. Its a freat material its easy to clen and easy to move from the inside to back yard.

Christmas Present for Grandson and he loves it. He's almost 2 and enjoys the slide and stairs are easier to climb than those rock crawl walls on other products. Periscope works but he could care less. Heavy duty and should last till he outgrows it. Worth it. Side note, using on a carpeted floor indoors can sometimes generate some static electricity, not that often but it can occur.
