Excellent price vs brand name. Great for my mosquito magnet.

I use this to attract mosquitoes to our Flowtron Mosquito Zappers. It does not seem to attract that many mosquitoes as we are still bitten when we are working in the yard. We followed instructions re: distance from working areas etc. I had a Bat House installed in our property in early March, 2019 and hope that this will help to reduce them.

I live in Houston where mosquitoes are more abundant than bad drivers and oil slicks. Our yard was the premier hatchery and made it impossible to step outside without a beekeeper suit or 2 gallons of DEET unless a swarm of mosquitoes was what you enjoy. I have run this zapper all night for one week so far and I'm not kidding when I tell you we are for the most part mosquito infestation free. I have already cleaned it twice and I'm outside right now and haven't seen a thing interested in biting me. Not even nasty sprays were this effective. Granted, it could be the humidity and heat that killed them off but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that. Best investment ever.

These works very well. I've been buying these for years now and work well with the Flowtron mosquito zapper.

I was skeptical this would work to attract mosquitoes to the Flowtron bug zapper. After all, mosquitoes are primarily attracted to heat, CO2, and moisture - in other words bodies and their breathing. They care not one whit about lights, so I wasn't sure the Flowtron Octenol would do anything to pull mosquitoes in. But the Octenol does work. It has to - there is nothing else about the Flowtron that would be of any interest to a mosquito. Yet, once a week when I use a small twig to clean off the electrified rails of bug parts, there is no shortage of clearly identifiable mosquitoes fried & stuck to the rails. The makers of Octenol claim that it mimics other scents in human breath that mosquitoes like; the proof of the pudding is stuck in my trap every week, so they made an empirical believer out of me. Alas it only attracts the night-flying black mosquitoes where we live. I'm grateful for that, which is why I gave it 5 stars. And as final proof we can go out in our yard and on our deck and not be bothered by mosquitoes at night. The daytime is another story however. We also have the day-flying Tiger mosquitoes around here, and clearly the Octenol is doing nothing for them as they bother us during the day. But the Octenol doesn't claim to attract Tiger mosquitoes which is why I'm not taking off any stars. Lurex is advertized to work on the Tiger mosquitoes; alas Flowtron doesn't sell the Lurex bait in a form factor compatible with their trap. Nevertheless, I'll take mosquito-free evenings, and be grateful for that. FYI I change out the Octenol cartridges once a month; that seems to work fine. They have a double-sided piece of sticky tape in each individually wrapped package, which you can use to mount the bait underneath the Flowtron trap.

I use this in my in my two OUTXPRO 20W Electronic Bug Zapper Fly and Mosquito Kill Trap see photos to show it works on Central Florida Mosquito's. They grow weak after sixty days. While expensive when they are used less than sixty to seventy days old they are incredible. I replace every seventy days and find that while it might work longer I think the higher effectiveness this gives makes is worth the cost. I use them in devices one in my garage and one in my screen room. Yes the mosquito s do get into a screen room see photo which was shown after a one day period. Every time you open a door to go into the yard they swarm and some get in.

I don't know if they really work, but the flowtron has killed a lot of intruders. Update: I bought these in June 2013 and now it's July 2018 and I just put in my last one in my BK-40D flowtron that I bought in 2012. I paid $32 back then for the 6-pack and today they are $42 with prime shipping and tax. They do seem to work, but are expensive. I am wondering if the flowtron might work just as well without them? Dunno.

Bug light is useless without these. These make the bugs go nuts and it brings in a swarm Bug Light then kills tons of bugs. Use a ice cream bucket one part vinegar two parts hot water 2 tablespoons baking soda and a dash of sugar cut a hole in the top and put the BugLight on top. it is unreal how many bugs you will catch/kill!!!!

Cant tell if it works but wish the packaging had better instructions how to.insert cartridges. Like the one that came with the bug zapper.

This really helps with the mosquito population around here. Before this, I couldn't even open my backdoor without a bunch flying inside!! You can tell by the photo, that there are tons of mosquitoes mixed in with other bugs.
